The National Childbirth Trust wants all parents to have an experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood that enriches their lives and gives them confidence in being a parent.

Our purpose is:

To offer information and support in pregnancy, childbirth and early parenthood to all parents to give them the opportunity to make informed decisions
To campaign for improved maternity care and better services and facilities for all new parents

The Clapham & District branch of the NCT covers most of inner, south west London, extending from Vauxhall to Clapham and Balham to Battersea. We run antenatal classes and Antenatal Welcome Evenings, provide postnatal support, run playgroups, organise nearly new sales, run fund-raising events for the NCT (when we also try to have fun), provide information to the parents of young families, and have a quarterly magazine. We do all of this with an organisation that's almost entirely made up from volunteers, all of whom are parents as well. In fact, perhaps you'd like use some of your skills to improve your NCT too. Click here to see how you can help.

Click here to sign up for NCT antenatal classes through the national NCT website.  Select the Antenatal classes button, enter your post code, and you will get a list of your nearest courses – select one and enter your details on the form to register.

You can use this website to find out the latest news about the branch, as well as plently of local information. You can also find out about joining the NCT or apply for an antenatal class. We hope that it will be a useful tool in your life as a parent and would welcome any comments or additions you may have.
